Slipped Through My Fingers

Saturday nights at our house are typically movie nights. There wasn't anything we really felt like watching so Todd started flipping through our 200-some-odd-channels figuring that something would be on TV. He stopped on a show I didn't recognize just as it was beginning. Assuming I wouldn't be too interested, I asked "What are we watching?" as I headed to the kitchen to fill my water glass.

"What? You've never seen Rain Man?" my incredulous husband replied.

Nope. I never had. Somehow this classic, Oscar-winning movie has alluded me since it premiered in 1988. That's 21 Rain Man-less years.

I loved this movie! Dustin Hoffman was remarkable as Raymond and I so enjoyed watching Tom Cruise's character, Charley, learn to love and appreciate his autistic brother. It spoke to my heart. If, by chance, you haven't seen this movie masterpiece GO TO THE VIDEO STORE RIGHT NOW. Don't let it slip through your fingers as it did mine.
