Our dear friends, John and Carrie and their baby boy Jacob. Jacob was born on Friday and has Down's Syndrome. This was a shock to John and Carrie yet they are strengthened by the Lord in this difficult time. Baby Jacob is in Children's Hospital in San Diego and is having difficulty eating, has abnormal liquid in his stomach, and hypertension. He has already undergone transfusions and has shown improvement, but prayers are still much needed.

Baby Harper Stamps in Arkansas. I follow her Mom's blog (Kelly) although I have never met her. Harper was also born on Friday and has had severe heart and lung issues. She is in critical yet stable condition and will most likely be in the NICU for weeks. Follow Baby Harper's progress at kellyskornerblog.com.

Protection over Nolan yesterday as he was attacked by a dog in the park. Nolan is a true dog-lover and gentle with them, but this particular dog didn't love him back. The dog (a 45 pound mutt saved from a shelter) knocked him down and attacked Nolan's face. Luckily, the skin was not broken but he has a few bruises around his eyes and near his temple. Our little trooper wanted to go back and play with the dog just minutes after the incident. Mommy's blood pressure and heart rate said no.
